I received a text from someone claiming to be an apple recruiter. No phone call, no email, just a text message out of the blue asking to connect. Isn't this a bit unusual? Or has this become part and parcel of millennial recruiters? (Recruiters who are millennials) Anyhow I replied (from my Android phone haha) saying when I was available to chat, and never heard back after 3 days. The recruiter only gave their first name...no other contact info. Ugh.
I received a text from an Apple recruiter once but she did try to reach out to me via call first. I was in a meeting and couldn’t take the call and she sent a text right away asking when we can talk over phone.
May be soon they will call you via Facetime.
And you dont even have to pickup!😂
And then you will get another text saying you failed the interview. Try again after 6 months.
I heard they only imessage. They hate Android users
True story, I got rejected in an Apple interview cuz I told them I recently got a MacBook and have never tried coding on xcode yet, the role was for a PM in the dev tools team
Sorry to break it to you but you got rejected because you don’t meet the bar. When I joined apple, I had never touched a macbook and using iphones was a dream for me. No one cared because I aced the interview.
What team are you in? For software engineers it doesn't matter so much. Since I was managing the xcode and relevant coding tools as a Project.Manager, I believe it was important for me to familiar with them
I got texts from Amazon recruiters really annoying
It’s becoming more norm. I got one a while back and honestly I’d prefer it over a cold call.
Should be ex-Amazon recruiter . They do it all the time.
Look for the number on Truecaller to get their full name. Look up the name on LinkedIn. Voila!
Unheard of to me. I only get texts if I were already in the middle of the process (facebook)
Did you interview with FB recently?
A couple years ago
