... multiple iPhone apps send Apple analytics data, _regardless of whether the iPhone Analytics privacy setting is turned on or off .... ... Apple App Store sends the company exhaustive information about nearly everything a user does in the app ... ... the App Store appears to harvest information about your activity in real time, including what you tap on, which apps you search for, what ads you see, how you found a given app and how long you looked at the app’s page ... ... turning the iPhone Analytics setting off had no evident effect on the data collection, nor did any of the iPhone’s other built-in settings meant to protect your privacy from Apple’s data collection. Apple Music, Apple TV, Books, the iTunes Store, and Stocks all did. The Stocks app shared data including your list of watched stocks, the names of stocks you viewed or searched for and time stamps for when you did it, as well as a record of any news articles you saw in the app. #privacy #ads #fraud https://gizmodo.com/apple-iphone-privacy-analytics-class-action-suit-1849774313
When Apple start splattering Privacy on billboards along 101 headed to SF, we already know it’s BS & they are headed the ways of Motorola, RIM, nec & IBM
Any comment from employees from Meta would be considered biased. But this is hypocrisy at it's best, and I'm sure their ads business relies on that signal they collect.
Apple is a marketing company, not a tech company
Privacy Settings "on" probably just means that the table where all the data is being collected requires manager approval for analysts to access. 😆
apple blocks other apps from tracking users. same year it's ad business grows strongly while others like meta, snap, pinterest wane *surprised pikachu face* https://2pml.com/2022/08/22/trojan/
For any lawsuits against Meta, Metamates will say that "a large and successful company like Facebook/Meta gets lawsuits every now and then and most of the cases it's no big deal". Going by the same logic, Apple is even bigger and more successful than Meta. So chill, guys!
Right. The law suit is the main point here, not the investigation, not the tracking, not the completely decorative privacy setting. Sure boss, chilled!!
Are you the same toxic Metamate who gave the below logic?
👀
Again Metamates? Let's see what one told about lawsuit in the past.
Oh, public2 memory lives on.
So was Gizmodo faking their tests?
Is list of stocks you viewed resource utilization or efficiency? I guess it can be either if Apple is monitoring your cash utilization and portfolio performance!

great now they can get their stock price dropped and have lay offs too 🙄
This
I don't wish layoffs on anyone, but this is fraud. There wasn't too build their own as business and they wanted to get an easy win by demonizing and banning other ads players. I have always suspected Tim Crook of hypocrisy and his "holler than thou" interviews and marketing campaigns. This just confirms it
