Hello, I wanted to see if anyone had ideas for getting in touch with someone about the Ford application process. I applied for a positon on May 31 and there is still no application update since this day. Reason I ask is because I received a survey of the process prior to hearing anything back. Thanks in advance!
Interviewed with them, process was slow af. Why are you moving from Apple to ford? Most likely not worth it
for a Remote opportunity, how long until you received something back?
Where’s @IslandBoyz when you need him
Which position/org did you apply to?
remote engineer position
Week of July 4th, so may be many are on vacation
figured that but I mean the application was May 31st - and on the website it hasn’t moved past “Applied” status
Don’t do it. Software engineers are criminally underpaid here. And I mean criminally. 2 YoE making 78k. Promotions are non existent and they just slashed all bonuses in half and made them harder to obtain. I’m interviewing around because leaders just don’t care about software engineers despite wanting to be known as a “tech” company lol
thank you
Exactly paid very low. Don't even look at Ford anymore
Appreciate it
Y’all forgot they are coming from Apple. Some orgs are getting serious about comp pay for top talent
Yes that’s true, if you’re lucky. But the overwhelming majority are shit. I would be surprised if they could match ops current package at Apple
You'll have a good work life balance, but you're probably going to get paid at least 30% less than what you might get paid elsewhere.
Don't join. Most archaic tech stack I've ever seen in 2022
*** I really just want to know the timeline of something like this as it’s been a month with no change
