I have offers from Siemens Software (Bay Area), Infineon (Bay Area), and I'll be getting an offer from Texas Instruments (Bay Area) tomorrow for Applications Engineer roles. What numbers should I be expecting? YOE: 3.5 Siemens offer TC: 175k (140k Base + 35k Annual Bonus + 0 RSU) + 30k Sign-on + 10k Relocation Infineon offer TC: 172.5k (140k Base + 20k Annual Bonus + 50k RSU) + 25k Sign-on + 15k Relocation Current TC: 105k (Massachusetts) Thanks for support Blind community! #semiconductor #hardware #texasinstrumentscompensation
Off hand, having been out of there several years I’m going to guess 90k to 100k base with a 15 to 20% bonus, higher with more education. Historically they have great relocation, but it’s a company with an extremely firm view on chain of command.
@uber did you switchfrom hw to sw?
No, and it was a friend who worked at TI, not me.
I would go with Infineon, don’t get into EDA, there’s very limited growth. After cypress acquisition Infineon is in good place for growth here.
@Kronaaa, you have bachelor's or master's degree?
TI = tiny income. Don't expect too much from them. Sounds like infenion is a better option.
What about Renesas? How does Renesas pay?
There is not much big difference from other semiconductor companies. Far from faang
