My 1 year Google cool down finishes in 6 months. Current plan is to reinterview with Google at the end of the cool down and at the same time do a full frontal assault on most big tech companies (i.e. try and interview everywhere and hope I land an offer somewhere). Amazon apparently has a 6 month cool down. Also just saw an Apple Clang Team job where I actually fit the requirements. Should I try and interview with these companies (and maybe a few others) right now, or wait until April and do it all at once? I guess I'm afraid of, say I get an offer right now, that would be awesome but I'll never know if I would have made it into Google on my second try. If I fail Amazon I might be able to try again in 6 months when I do the others companies so no loss there.

You can always apply to, and take an offer from Amazon now, and interview with Google when the time comes. If you get an offer, you can make a decision then.
Wow you just made it sound so easy. I feel like such a fool. Thanks!
