Trying to get a better handle of budgeting for 2019. This is for 1 person renting in SF. Comcast for example only includes internet and loaned router. No cable 😢 Looking for an objective assessment.
Different people have different tastes and priorities. To me these looks very high. I have ATT prepaid and pay 35$ for instance. Comcast bill is also 35-40$
Good to know, thanks! I used to be at $40 for Comcast for the first two years because I was locked into a contract but somehow it’s gotten double that now..
Just call them. Say that you are canceling because you found a better deal. They will transfer to cancellation department and will give you a huge discount. Send me cookies after that ;)
Bro, you don’t eat? And wow Hulu looks too expensive. Go on MetroPCS for $60/mo. 😂 LI premium is unnecessary unless you’re actively job hunting. And get rid of the venture card and start churning other credit cards.
Robinhood is not an expense unless you are buying shitty OTM puts.
Stop gambling on RH
Hahaha omg I’ve never seen anyone that actually pays for bumble let alone the fake news new york times?!?! You can cut both of those.
For bumble can you write a swipe bot? I think bumble premium lets you see who right swiped you so you don’t have to waste time swiping to match.
Bumble never worked for me. Never. One year, almost 0 matches no dates. I even paid for couple of months.
TC? Another way you can go about it is instead of cutting back, add Leetcode premium to that and get a new job.
Ah! Thanks for the reminder, I think I already have a subscription with them. And he’s, I’m actively looking 👀
$6 bumble is a waste Save for 5 months and get a Thai massage (happy ending)
LinkedIn Premium is a waste IMO. Whatever benefit you need, just activate when you are job hunting for a month or two. And dockerhub? Are you actually using it?
Op might be looking :)
I assumed he pays for year, considering he is talking about his rather permanent recurring expenses.
Transportation, food, clothing, travel, medical, gifts etc you don’t spend anything in those? And get rid off any credit card that charges annual fee and get one that pays you back (ex. Capital one quicksilver)
Amex platinum fee gets offset from $15/mo Uber rides and $200 annual airline fee credits. Not to mention global entry fee, lounge access, triple points, etc
Is that 45/month? That’s $540 a year. $540 - $15*12 - $200 = $160 Are you taking advantage of any of those other perks? There is nothing in your budget about travel and unless you travel a lot, all those things worth nothing in my opinion
You can combine your phone and internet and reduce your bill. Also, you can lose Hulu.
Agreed on Hulu, thanks! How do I combine mobile phone and internet? Can you suggest some providers?
Talk to your provider, they have deals
