Resume is basically 11 months at Google (current, still employed) 11 months at Amazon 19 months at Intuit 2 years at failed startup (during college) Bachelors in CS from state school Projects: some work projects, names are impressive but my individual contribution is pretty boring. Things like Docs and other products. I want to protect myself from the next wave of layoffs. Are side projects worth having? I could whip up a website in a week or two but I would rather not Tc: $290k
I would list stuff on resumes but at the end of the day no one cares what's on your resume. It's just going to help you maybe get some more initial interviews but after that it's 90 percent interview performance.
I agree but is it useful conversation fodder? Or do most people only care about professional performance
If you apply for some no name startup they might care. But if you apply for big tech the interviewers probably won’t even look at your resume. They’re just there to see you leetcode.
Important for smaller companies that won’t ask LC but domain specific questions. They don’t have time to train you on X technology, they need results within a few weeks of joining.
Just focus on your job, you'll be fine.
