Are software engineers going to extinct?

With all the hype around chatGpT. I’m already very impressed about the things free version can do. I just looked at the chatGPT 4 demo and heard many awesome things about this version like how powerful it is compared to the previous one. I’m not just worried about this particular model, but such models can be created (eg: Github co-pilot). How likely demand for software engineering will take a hit? #engineering #software #swe

Is Software Engineering the same as it was 30 years ago? No and it won’t be the same 30 years from now either. The problems and tools will be different day to day. My opinion is that problem solvers will be eternally employable. The best you can do is adapt and use what is available to increase your effectiveness.
