Many years ago, when people complained about things like “not getting enough weekends, it’s Monday again”, I alway felt work was fine and I kinda liked going to work. Now, every morning, I feel annoyed about going to work and having to face the people in my team. I am constantly afraid not meeting the expectations or being out-performed by others, but part of me does want to relax a little, do not want to overload myself. Is it my problem or it’s the team/company culture? #tech #amazon #meta #google #nvidia #engineer #sde
Both. You aged and your teams suck..
Fuck no I lost all the fucking motivation. Fuck this shit
i tap dance to work every morning ™️
there’s a support group for people who don’t enjoy going to work- it’s called “everyone” and we meet at the bar.
I always secretly hope my office building gets set on fire before I get there
They would still make you RTO
I will make sure I have marshmallows and chocolate bars with me
With URA quota, your teammates are no longer people that will help each other deliver.
I had a report at my last job tell me about the ‘Sunday scaries’, i.e. a feeling of dread on Sunday because you know you have to work (at a job that stresses you out) the next day. She said she’d wake up on Saturday AM and the first thought in the back of her mind was, ‘Two days ‘till Monday’. I felt bad for her, but her job was honestly pretty easy.
I enjoy my job tbh and look forward to it
Just noticed getting more votes on “not excited about work”, and I wonder if it’s because if you are loving your work, you wouldn’t hangout in blind 😅
You mean, survivorship bias?
