Hello, since AI is dominating, I’m wondering how many SWE here have experience with AI/ML and do you believe it’s important to gain these skills else risk being obsolete? #tech #SWE #GOOGLE #NVIDIA #microsoft #amazon #openai #machinelearning #adobe #AI #netflix
How do you like working at the aerospace corporation?
It’s great, a lot of flexibility in terms of the projects you want to work on. Work from home is an option for now. Pay is no good though.
How challenging is getting hired there if someone has a secret clearance. Asking for a friend.

Isn’t it easier to count the number of job postings for ML vs non ML engineers from linkedin?
Sorry, I’m a noob with LinkedIn. Is it possible to see peoples skills with no LinkedIn premium? Or what can counting the job postings do in this case?
Having some experience in ML doesn’t give you advantage unless you know deep with theort, industrial experience and papers. Having experience on something else in depth and making you stand out would make you less obsolete over having some flavor of ML experience or simple master degree in ML which is not exactly ML expert. There are ML engineer who has trouble finding jobs. ML engineers who are not expert - newbie or semi expert will saturate their job markets.
