So Argo is shutting down. Rightly so. Ford and other automakers who are not into delusion of full self driving realizing this can’t continue like this anymore. I am just curious what is happening to the stock options of employees who worked at Argo AI? There isn’t any IPO or acquisition. It’s a shut down. Is the company buying back all that at a premium ?
Your second statement is a wrong assumption. It's only Ford who's backing out. VW is still in L4. More curious as to why you tagged Meta?!
What do you mean? So many articles are saying they are shutting down. I believe tech crunch over any other non-reputable news source.
Argo AI is shutting down. Ford is ditching their L4. VW is continuing their L4. All this is public info by now on their respective press releases. Some Argo folks got offers from Ford and some from VW.
Maybe Meta will do SDC in the metaverse
Right after they implement legs
Don’t need legs Anam you got SDC
They didn’t have traditional stock options or RSUs. They used to give profit units, which were supposedly better
This is false, at least now. I got RSU's and everyone who joined in like the last year the same. At the fake and magical 20b "future valuation". Maybe a profit unit would've been more worth while then these less than useless shares lol
I interviewed there in early 2019
I heard the equity is worthless. At least someone with RSUs vested told me that
That’s nuts. That’s probably why they got absorbed. Couldn’t pay out equity promises.
Absorbed? The company is simply ceasing to exist and shutting down all operations. It's just going to be a fire sale of assets
