It's been a few months now since Argo announced it was closing it's doors. Did any solid information ever come out on how many employees were offered jobs at Ford or VW? Or what was going to happen to their giant office? I live in Pittsburgh, walk by that building almost every day. That whole area of town kind of grew up to support the employees working there, from the dining establishments to the overpriced apartments. I'm curious as to what the long term fallout will be, especially if a large number of those former employees leave the city. #layoff #pittsburgh
My team of 4 people, 2 got Ford/vw offers but only 1 took it up.
~550 US Ford offers, ~70 US VW offers was what I'd seen
600 Ford offers, 91% acceptance rate. No idea about VW
All remote? Any of you moving? Or did Ford get the Argo office in Pitt?
Remote is still an option for everyone. I believe they're taking the office, but not 100% sure. I'm remote.
VW is retaining the entire Munich office of 300 people, plus offers for 70 in the US.
Our team of 7 engineers were all let go (no offer from OEMs) except the manager.
What org were you in?
SEIT Autonomy
All my team was given an offer except myself. I was the most recent employee with only 3 months at the company. My team was the firmware team.
That’s assuring that most of the folks were absorbed.

The end of Backdoor Roth?!
My team of 5 plus manager, 4/6 got offers and stayed on as ford/vw employees
Pretty much the same numbers on my team too.
Are you all continuing to work and live in Pittsburgh?
