Hi everyone, I have an interview scheduled next week and the interview mail was very open ended. It only says interview on DSA topics. I’ve been LC’ing for the past week on C lang (solving 100+) and yet i don’t feel confident enough. Can someone please share how difficult i should expect the interview to be, what kind of DSA would they expect and a general overview of the interview process followed by arista. Ps: position is a new grad software engineer (primarily targeting to work on Embedded stack) it was a referral position and i applied through a different process.
Bro their interviews are the shittest…A VP of software engineering interviewed who is an tamilian me, first of all they didn’t tell for which role they’re hiring me if it’s new grad or senior roles. He asked me if I was prepared on topics like C++, networking basics which are generally not asked for a new grad. Upon saying no, he asked on what I prepared and I said I an confident in DSA(thanks to LC). He said in that case we’ll go with C++ and networking concepts. Upon asking for feedback at the end of the interview he said folks with 2 yoe do better than me. That’s when I realized it’s for senior roles. He spoke about my indian undergrad college and asked if they didn’t teach C++ and networking concepts. Looks like the interviewer was pissed that he couldn’t get into my undergrad college and I could feel his resentment. Worst interview that will stay with me forever. Really disappointed with the second round. First round was with an american and he was confident the second round would be a easy hire.
Look at their Glassdoor it's pretty accurate
