Hi friends. I have a question regarding arranged marriage. I have had relationships in past years and have been heartbroken as well. I have used dating apps and have had a lot of one night stands as well. Having had decent number and types of relationships, i feel like i don't believe in love or relationships. I feel like everyone is looking for better/taller/richer partner and thats a never ending loop. So, an arranged marriage kinda feels nice solution to me. I feel like social pressure around arranged marriage prevents the tendency of not being satisfied with the partners. What is the experience of folks who have done arranged marriage? Would you recommend arranged marriage over love marriage? Tc: 192k, yoe: 3, height,: 5'9"
Half of what you said sounds fiction. If you’ve had the said experience you would have figured out the the answer yourself. All these questions are from nerds who have no idea of to treat women.
I am not claiming to be a casanova. I have had 2 ltrs and single digit hookups. I haven't had experience with arranged marriage. Hence my question
Height?

Dude - you up for arranged employment.. don’t have to race for better/ faster / richer TC!
Age?

I see quora in the making
Hahaha
Let me break it to you man, be it an arrange marriage or love, she is going to be your wife... all of them are same... you’ll get miserable as years progress.
This ☝️
Damn, this marriage thing doesn't sound well...
What makes you think that if you choose arranged marriage, your partner won’t be looking at your TC? In fact, it is more relevant in case of arranged marriages. I have seen my friends go through “arranged dates” so to speak where women would ask them the same question as someone on blind “TC or GTFO”.
That seems incredibly shallow. I have told my tc to only friends, not even parents. I don't wanna marry a girl who is only interested in $$$$
Very tough.. parents and friends won’t claim a right or make ur life miserable to control you, your financial info or ur TC etc.. but rest assured ur wife will.
Been in your shoes bro. I'm 29 and let me tell you. Arranged marriages are like business deals. Make a decision based on facts. And sometimes facts presented are not reality or they are twisted reality. Just be very careful with the facts presented.
Any suggestions for avoiding traps? What are some good questions to ask?
Once you talk to them you will figure out if they are fluff or for real. You need a skill in this to weed out the bulllshitters. A lot of them twist or avoid talking about their immigration status. There might be people who might have had like an engagement broken. Sure nothing wrong with it but if they are open about it from the beginning that would be great. Lie about their TC numbers. But that can be figured out. A lot of people say they are open to relocating to you (assuming that you cant relocate to them for whatever reason) but reality is its tougher than just words. Diet preferences are also a hurdle which people say. Oh thats okay. You will only find out once you live together. Another thing is going back to India or not. I am seeing both kinds of people. Some who live here but keep going to India a lot and miss India a lot and I'm the opposite so I think that preference needs to match up well beforehand.
And you don’t think arranged marriages aren’t sizing up your TC and future proofing your obligation? Ha! Either you pick or someone else picks. Why not have your parents pick out your car, your next job, what you eat, etc... life is about choices and living with your choices. That’s called freedom. If you want someone else to make the decisions for you, go right ahead. Your happiness and success will be no different. But maybe you’ll feel better blaming your problems on your parents rather than yourself if things don’t work out.
Modern arranged marriages arent parents picking wives or husbands. It's just like dating via an app.. except most people on it dont want to date but want to get to know each other to get married.
That’s a funny way of calling it arranged marriages then.
