Dude, if $3k is a big bet for you, just stop and learn to be happy with what you have. Now, that said, I did start my investment portfolio with a similar amount 15 years ago and I managed to grow it to $218k. I think I invested a total of $45k throughout the year, but I got very lucky. I bought Apple in 2010, FB when in 2012, Amazon in 2015, TDG in 2012, Nvidia in 2018 and I had some baaaaad losses too. But in the end a 3k investment most likely will not make you a millionaire. Even if you were to have a 400% return, that would only be 12k. That’s why the rich keep getting rich.
