Any interview tips for a Security Engineer Interview at Asana? I was told that there would be a coding round during one of the on-site interviews. What do I need to expect? #interview #security
Mostly it'll be basic scripting. Apart from that you'll be given code snippets to identify vulnerabilities. Also be prepared for a round of threat modeling and architecture review of a hypothetical application.

What’s the role details?
They're hiring for either product security or infrastructure security roles. Should entail security engineering, appsec, security reviews, secops.
Can you share your experience after your interview
How did it go?
could update your experience ?
@OP can you please share your experience ?
Security focused interviews went over identifying, exploiting (PoC), mitigating vulnerabilities and communicating impact, along with some threat modeling and vulnerability management exercises. There was another challenging interview on analyzing psuedo code and system design (this was unexpected, so a slight curve ball). Seemed like they needed an expert on all things security AND software engineering! Pretty challenging but a decent experience.
I didn’t get an offer, but the technical screen was building an ASCII. My full experience is https://justpaste.it/84i3i

Writing code makes little sense in a security engjneer interview. Reading and reviewing code for sure..
