I recently started using Roth IRA at Fidelity. And I am maxing out 6000$ every year. What would be a good investment strategy for Roth IRA. Fidelity advisor suggested asset allocation fund Fidelity Asset Manager 85%. Which invests 85% in equity and remaining in bonds etc. Any thoughts or suggestions?
Go all in on fzrox. Commission free growth for the win!!
That will be all equity. Is that the right approach? Its very aggressive.
Most advisors recommend allocating more towards assets that make use of the IRAs tax-advantaged status. Those could include dividend stocks/funds/ETFs, actively-managed funds with high turnover, bonds, and international large-cap stocks (which tend to have a higher dividend yield than U.S. stocks).
Target date funds, until you have done enough research to do anything else.
Bonds are basically worthless these days
