Hey everyone, I plan on moving to San Diego soon and I saw ServiceNow had a position for an Associate Software Engineer. I'm very interested as I'm looking for entry level roles, and they have an office in SD. Can anyone tell me about their experience there? Would love to talk! Thanks!
I’ve applied 3 times with referrals. Heard nothing. I’ve also been to the ServiceNow booth at a career fair for early careers professionals and they were only advertising non-SWE roles. I’m honestly skeptical if they’re even hiring or if they’re ghost listings.
You may have dodged a bullet. I got a referral from old coworker who works at ServiceNow and went straight to on-site interview. The process was somewhat disorganized and one of my interviewers was a raging douche who fancied himself as god’s gift to programming. I ended up over at Intuit for probably similar pay and a much nicer team.
Damn, really? I see their positions have hundreds of applicants... I guess it's possible they get filled before getting to your application. Sucks that they don't at least contact saying the position is filled instead of just ignoring your application.
Friend works there.. no raises last year or bonus.. probably same this year 😬
He probably lied, everyone gets a bonus. It depends on companies performance and individual performance.
Not sure why he would lie about not getting a bonus.. kinda a weird thing to lie about.. Maybe his performance wasn't that good 😅
Most of associate roles are given to current interns. It’s easier to convert from intern to associate here.
Joined as an Associate last year - Each listing is for a specific team, there isn’t a overarching job posting for multiple teams. Not sure if referrals do much, but I got this role from a recruiter reaching out from their backlog of resumes - even as an associate (<1 YOE), I got a hike/refresher/bonus.
How long ago did you submit your resume before the recruiter got to yours?
You need a referral to even have a chance. But the associate positions I don't think are really in demand. Look for more specific skill positions
