Wfh as long as you are in the pacific time zone. I have yet to see a job posting in engineering for them they doesn’t require west coast location. The postings all start with you can work anywhere we are flexible and awesome. Then you read further down and it says only hiring for pacific time zone.
Good to know!
It is actually a good idea to enforce a time zone. Lots of the failed wfh companies are caused because they made wfh a free for all mess
Yeah, ppl at Atlassian include TC when they post on Blind where most posts from Amazon on Blind don't include TC. People who post without TC should RTO 5 days a week.
Something tells me Atlassian is going to stay longer than other companies losing out due to low productivity. Because unhappy employees don't contribute much
I assure you were plenty unhappy, it’s just unrelated to where we’re physically working. There have been massive changes to how we’re structuring our engineering teams and it’s a total cluster.
Tbh and imo, we've grown too much during covid and have in fact, totally outgrown the capacities of all offices. They also hire people in countries without an office (I'm one). RTO will be costly and WFH is here to stay. Some at Atlassian worried about RTO but never have I given the above reasons.
Thanks for your insight!
💯
Good to know!
Atlassian is going through a lot of shit right now. But bitter as I am, I still appreciate that full time remote (with a hybrid option if you're near an office) is really here to stay. They have invested in policies, tools, and culture
Understandable!
I hate working at Atlassian for other reasons. They did the right thing by supporting remote work. Other stuff is a giant bowl of doodoo though
How so, @boredwm?

Atlassian’s how do you feel? Is this the case for you guys/gals?
We are doing great with wfh. I travel to office when I get a chance. We also have 90 days policy to work from anywhere in the world for a calendar year.
That’s amazing, happy to hear and seems like a great company!
