Atlassian internal transition
Hello fellows, do you know is there any restriction regarding internal transition within this company? For instance, team switching/moving from AUS to US office after a year of work or so, is that possible? I mean, from manager’s perspective, can they prevent such thing Thanks.
Yea happens a lot here. People going to Syd or coming here (MTV or SF) from Syd after working year or more. Also some people are allowed to work remote for certain situations.
I'd expect most managers aren't going to be a problem about someone in good standing (no "off year" ratings in our silly parlance) transferring out if there is another manager with appropriate level headcount who wants to take them Coming into the US from Australia may have visa issues unless you are covered by a non-employer visa, I'm not sure how ready US teams are to sponsor for L1 transfer or new H1b - especially for P3/P4
It depends on team and managers, some managers won’t let you work remote leave alone changing teams !
