Hoping to get insights from the software engineers on here. Looking for the tech behind authenticating a user from their mobile app (ex. user logging in from desktop and receives a message to the mobile app on their phone asking if it’s them logging in). This is not the Google Auth app but the actual app for the company. Is there a vendor for a plug and play solution or do companies usually build this in house? Thanks in advance!
It's literally just a push notification, although auth apps themselves typically use TOTP
TOTP is what I’m looking to learn more about. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction!
Happy to help!
