Automattic folks on Blind?

I heard that you have an internal anonymous forum, set up to avoid folks airing dirty laundry on Blind. Do you use it? Do you trust that it's anonymous?

Yes, but I wish more a12s would use Blind too, so we're part of the broader conversation. And the internal forum is anonymous enough. All I need there is for my average coworker not to know it's me on a daily basis. I'm not saying anything I wouldn't ultimately want to be associated with

Also not sure Blind-avoidance is the main driver for having the internal forum. But it's probably a welcome result to some

Pretty sure our internal anonymous forum existed before Blind did, so I don’t believe it’s some effort to keep people from venting here. I’ve never posted on it, but plenty people do, and I think most people trust that it actually is anonymous.

Do you know anything about how it's hosted or what sort of platform/software it uses?

Hey sorry for the late reply... it’s on WordPress, of course 😜 Beyond that, I’m not to sure. From what I understand it was built by an employee as an experiment of sorts, and it’s still going strong.

I believe the forum is a place to enable transparency and dialogue. It is truly anonymous. For those here suggesting “Blind Avoidence” as a motivator - your point does not make sense for many reasons 1. The forum existed well before blind 2. How many places outside of corporate infrastructure (true for any company) can someone go to air dirty laundry? Rhetorical Q, there are infinite places. So, how can you have a place where there is a critical mass of those familiar with topic at hand AND context?

Anonymattic was put in read only mode in Early 2022 and is apparently still that way.
