Did you ever consider that not everyone on the Internet is real? There are a lot of fake accounts pushing agendas. Don't read into them. Just move on.

I’m sorry “…the world laughs at us for eating it” is ridiculous. Many MANY westerners seek out Indian cuisine because it is so delicious, smells heavenly, warm spices and rich sauces. I’ve never been to India, my parents are from Wisconsin. My guess is some white British guy with an agenda wrote this. Brits are known to have terrible food. Their best food is Indian. And the Brit complexions, I won’t even comment but this is how my skin looks too and let’s just say there is a reason fake tan creams were invented. I would go on but it’s unnecessary. Now I’m going to look up Indian idioms and start using them. Anyone have a clever or favorite one they’d like to share?

Some (well, kinda like less than many) Indians have massive self hate and inferiority complex. You can find them concentrated around these subs and are more vocal on internet. Rest assured he is Indian. Check out r/canconfirmiamindian to see some samples like these. That sub was dead some time ago so maybe sort by top.

Indian food became fashionable in the UK because of queen victoria, she was very proud of the empire. As time went on it went from aristocracy food to mainstream. Now there is an "Indian" in every town and most villages. Everyone likes it. Food probably nothing like what you get in India though.
