Avg working hours for PMs (Product)
I have seen a some TC comparison posts for PM roles at various companies but havent seen one comparing the avg working hours for PM roles at different companies I can start with mine and would like to know where others companies stand L6 PM - Retail - Avg 55-60 hrs/week (Seems to be the case with most of my other PM friends at Amazon too) TC - 200k YoE - 6 yrs total (1 as PM) joined through the MBA route last year
50-60 is normal irrespective of the company you work for, with an exception of rest and vest situations where you could get away with less workload. The difference though is in what you spend those hours on - that varies quite a lot - time to ideate and create, time to interact with your customers, time to manage your stakeholders and writing papers, time to ensure compliance of some sort, to project manage your team if you have a weak engineering counterpart.
45-60 h/week avg range. Peaks at 70 during planning, drops to 30 during holidays. Hours are manageable by being judicious about which meetings to attend. TC 650 including two refreshers and initial grant.
That is some serious TC, what is your base, level and yoe ??
