Mixed blessing. If you work on the airline side you might travel a lot because it’s free, but then you travel a lot and it’s rarely the convenient or somewhat nice experience you’d have if you were a road warrior in another industry. Day trips to another continent can be a thing.

I used to work at an aircraft engine manufacturer. Best job ever, but pay was low and layoffs were predictable and cyclical. Moved to amazon and tripled my compensation.
