Azure homework πŸ“š

Knowing from experience that the hyperlink graph potentially becomes overwhelming every time one starts to tame it. I join in 6 weeks as L62 and thought πŸ’ that I might as well use some spare time to know about what I am getting myself into and not turn out to be a rookie πŸ˜… What’d you guys recommend for Azure homework? https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/azure/architecture/ I am πŸ€” thinking to start off with arch guide to set fundamentals right. I have provisioned an Azure account for some hands on (if at all required, that is) What should I vest myself into and what should I clearly steer myself off? A little info that can be helpful: My intended team is making models for OCI data to be reliably made available on ☁️ TC: πŸ₯œ β‚Ή

Steer clear of Azure. And cloud. Just all of it.

I see. Why would you say that though? Idk man, I find super amped to learn and cease all opportunities Azure brings with it 😌

Get hands on with whatever product you are going to join. Moreover, try competitors products as well. Both of these will help you bring a fresh perspective into the team.

Hit up the Learning Center, do AZ-900, then AZ-300 to give yourself a decent foundation

I’d say you’re better off learning the Microsoft stack (C#, .Net, Linq etc) than the general azure architecture. I can tell you that almost every single service has a stand alone architecture of its own and reading up on Azure in general won’t help you much. If you spend time learning the tech stack, you can join the team and spend more time on internal tools, design docs etc.

This makes sense. I’l confirm with my HM if the tech stack is indeed C#, .Net

Rafa, you were right. So what all Azure constructs would you recommend if the work is inclined towards creating OCI models to make that data end up in ☁️ reliably. Also, confirmed on tech stack being C# amongst other things
