😢
Good. They price their vehicles so high. Stupid company. But sad for the employees.
Executives foregoing their salaries to pay severance for the laid off employees 😬
How many people have been let go in engineering?
I’m only aware of 10-20 in engineering / product.
Are the cars really priced at market rates? I do see a difference of $1k - $3k
They are. The difference is there’s no fees so by the time your deal is done at the dealer it all will be more outside of just the pressure to buy the extra add-ons & everything. If you haggle super well at a dealer you can likely save some cash or end up in a similar spot price wise but yeah, the market for cars is just a fucking mess. Shortage of affordable vehicles paired with rising interest rates = bad mix right now
Dotcom 2.0 😢
Last week, their recruiter reached out for a design role? Is it mostly engineering & pm roles that's been let go?
The contrary. Read the news. No engineering or very very little. Mostly operations.
Carvana just pulled a Zillow
2.5K = 12% workforce? Damn didn’t know how many employees they had. Hope everyone affected finds something
