Has anyone heard of BAT( Basic Attention Token)? It's now associated with Brave( initiative by Brandon Eich). How do you see the future of Brave as well as BAT? Is Brave going to be a big bet in the industry?
I don’t know about a big bet, but the concept is cool and one of the better uses of crypto I’ve seen yet. I use Brave exclusively and own BAT to pay content creators who accept it. Not many creators/publishers are signed up so I end up making more BAT from viewing ads than I pay out. I think it really just comes down to adoption beyond the tech/crypto bubble. As far as the currency, it has utility beyond speculation/day trading so that gives it a bit more value for non-enthusiasts imo.
Anyone know if it's possible use Brave/BAT except under Firefox or Chrome as an extension? Cool idea.
Don't think it's possible.
I use the Brave browser, I like it. Basically the same thing as Chrome. I also bought a lot of BAT.
Yea, brave is based on Chromium project.
Doesn’t solve the root liquidity problems that plagues public ledgers. Until I can use BAT/any coin to buy basic goods, I always need to cash out to fiat. This will forever block adoption until addressed in some way (it won’t)
Having one use channel that exists forces it's use as a medium of transaction, and it's pretty easy for that volume to get high enough to make it exceed BATs market value right now.
Volume and market cap (presumably what you mean) are not caustically related
Brave has been my primary browser on mobile and desktop for about a year, no more creepy ads, will not go back to other browsers.
Same here
Where have you been? You just hearing about BAT and Brave now?
I'm very curious myself
