Job market is brutal for SWEs 🥲
Hi, I received an job offer from Goldman Sachs with just base salary information but nothing related to bonus. Recruiter is saying they do not put bonus information on offer since it varies year to year. Is that really true?? Can anyone from Goldman Sachs verify that? Current TC:🥜 in a nonprofit Offer TC: 170k base + 45 bonus YOE: 8 #goldmansachs
TC & YOE?

In which city?
They usually honor the first year whisper bonus. Don’t expect to get something similar or better every year though. The first year bonus is used to reel people in, and the MDs often give you less money in the next few years to even things out
vp?
Yes
Location?
Fit some perspective, my bonus was 10% last year. I was not a poor performer. My issue is staying too long with this company
Is there a merit increase for base salary each year?
There has been no correlation between performance and pay increase

They indeed did not put bonus information in the offer letter for me as well. But they usually honor the first year bonus.
Ask for estimated bonus. GS has decent bonus.
I asked. they told it's 45k and will not be prorated in the first year since I am joining late in this year.
You can get your full bonus even thought you joined late. I joined dec last year and in jan I got full bonus — tell your recruiter that you need full bonus
