Anyone used BILT mastercard for rent payment .. looking for feedback on that. Any hidden charges/clauses that one needs ro be aware of ? trying to see if i can get cashback on rent payment since that is a big chunk of expense! tia!
No hidden fees, but poor security. There has been numerous reports of data leaks from Wells Fargo. Even I got one fraud transaction and they replaced my card. I use it to just pay my rent.
Having to deal with Wells Fargo really does suck. Their app is inexcusably bad.
I've had it for a year now, no complaints. Great to get something back from HCOL rent payments, plus no fees for paying rent with a card, and you can defer paying rent by a month if you want. Can help build credit too if you don't have a lot of history.
You have to make at least 5 transactions on the card (excluding rent, i think) each statement cycle to get the points. Otherwise, you lose it. That's the only clause you need to know about. I've been using it for 5-6 months now.
Essentially 0 downside except security... They were making their first security engineer hire a month ago and the dude posted on Blind! I only use it for rent and then food via Apple Pay (3% at dining). Via Bilt Protect it also has effectively no hit to credit because it'll automatically debit from your bank account, no credit utilization. If you're paying >$3500/mo like I am then you'll pretty quickly reach their higher status perks which include interest on rewards points, which is something I haven't heard of before
How about for mortgage? Anyone try that?

I’ve been using Bilt for 3 months now and haven’t seen any hidden charges if you pay it on time. The interest is pretty steep though at 28-29% I believe. Let me know if you need a referral link
