I have an interview coming up with Blizzard. Any advice? It's for an HR position.
+1 good luck!

Not sure blizzard is a good place to be right now. Would recommend you to exercise high degree of caution and do your diligence before your interview, and certainly before you accept your potential offer.
Why would you say that?
I would recommend you to do some basic research on where the industry is heading towards and how blizzard fits within that ecosystem. At the very least, look at the influence of blizzard ips in the global market place, whether that is on the media side like on twitch, or on the sponsorship and partnership dollar side, and how that trend is changing over time. Think about how that extends to the esports ecosystem that the company is selling the public on. Then look at the pipeline of upcoming projects and ask yourself if you're confident about both the timing and ability for the company to take it to market, and have it compete against the plethora of other options that are now out there. Then take a look at the inflow and outflow of talent, especially in critical roles and ask yourself why things are changing or moving the way they are. Then, determine whether if you were an investor of the company, ie Activision, whether you would opt to give more or less autonomy to the company based on past performance. Then put it all together and ask whether the future employees you're trying to recruit are going to ask you the same questions and how you plan to address their concerns. You guys have a lot of analysts at deloitte. Maybe reach out to your colleagues and ask them for their views. Or maybe you've already done your diligence and weighed the risk reward benefit and found it to be favorable. In which case, best of luck on the interview, and look forward to seeing you in the trenches soon.
This company is trash. Proceed with caution.
@op. This was what I was trying to say, except this user said it in a more eloquent and succinct way
It breaks my heart to see it.
Interesting to see the opinions of people within Bliz.
Fyi, there's no way to prove someone is still at the company through Blind. They just had to initially sign up with their work email. My inkling is that some of these people are past employees, who may have been laid off 2 years ago, when we reduced head count across the board, mainly on non dev teams. Current employee, and I couldn't disagree more with the comments above. I've really enjoyed my time here, made it through the layoffs, and can say that while they were sad, they were needed in order for the company to refocus on development. I'm not even on a dev team, yet I still believe the above.
What team or Org are you on?
I'm not going to be specific in an effort to stay anonymous, but I work within esports, publishing, broadcast and PR.
Ask what the attrition rate has been in your team and the group your supporting and why. Find out what the long term outlook is for your role and team. Is it for Blizzard local, global, or blending into ABK (Activision/Blizzard/King). Once you know the team and focus you will likely get an understanding of the culture and issues you might face upcoming and can ask more curated questions about the game tragectory, team trajectory and overall culture and what your getting into. Ie something aspirational or something that's on the slow curve down. Being from Deloitte you should have a lot of comparisons available to determine if this is a good company and culture fit long term. Your likely not coming for the $ from Deloitte so be prepared to discuss what inspired you to apply? Most folks are avid fans. If your not, be prepared to speak to how you will learn the culture and understand the passion for the amazing people ❤️ you will work with every day.
Proceed with caution. Ask hard questions. Find out how your potential team members feel about the current culture. Then you can gauge if you want to be part of it.
Lmao, at this rate, if op even interviews after all these red flags, I'll be genuinely surprised
