BTC a worthwhile bet?
I’ve heard both sides of the argument, but still unsure whether BTC is worth the bet. What do you think? Why hold BTC when other altcoins like LiteCoin and Zcash offer a more private and quicker medium of exchange? #bitcoin #blockchain #crypto
Of course! Bitcoin is the king and the future of sound money!
Network effect makes BTC stronger than all the other crypto assets combined. The other coins will not disappear, but at some point why would companies, exchanges etc bother doing work to handle obscure coins?
I'd say yes. I may be biased since I've invested (or gambled, if you will) quite a bit of money in crypto in the past 3 years.
Diversification. The caveat is the more shitcoins gets circulated the more market cap supposedly for btc gets diluted
Community is everything. Litecoin is a fake bitcoin. Zcash is a privacy coin, nobody will care about those - i mean very few people (if that’s what you are into, I don’t know).
If you are interested in faster medium of exchange then stick to your credit card or PayPal. Nothings gonna beat that. If you want store of value over a long period of time then buy Bitcoin.
BTC has the firstcomer advantage. Other than that the tech behind all the other cryptos beats BTC.
What matters more than tech when it comes to money is trust and security. No other crypto matches that.
