Background check
Hi all, I recently got a verbal offer for PayPal SDE2, and am waiting to start the background check process. One of the companies I have previously worked for was a start-up in India. No one I knew works there anymore. I got in touch with my old manager who did agree to vouch for me, but he has moved on as well. From what I heard, they've moved operations entirely to Dubai and may not have any records of their past Indian employees. I can provide my manager's contact, but I'm not sure if that would be valid. I worked for this company for 2+ years and it is my longest employer, accounting for most of my work experience. What info do I put down for this, and how will this pan out? Any advice will be appreciated. Thank you
Usually background check guys call the employer and check. If employer does not respond they will ask you to submit some evidence Paystubs, tax form etc. Been through this.

Last 3months is all they need. You should be good
BG check is usually to make sure you don't have any active criminal records. Regarding previous employment they would try to call the company a few times but if they don't get any response they won't make any issue out of it. So don't worry and enjoy your time as you wait to join.
Op, I have a 1 month gap experience in a startup that got acquired. I skipped it from resume. Should i include in bg?
