I am at San Francisco downtown this week and found so many of the staffs at shops and restaurants look and speak like they are having a bad day. I am from Seattle so am used to coldness but this is totally different. I go to the counter and say hi and smile but they treat me like I did something wrong to them and barely look at me when they speak. If you came from another state, did you also feel this way? I am not in the tourist destinations, just near Moscone conference center.
Or it could be because they literally have to walk through shit to get to their jobs
So you guys are saying people in Seattle tend to treat the staffs (as a customer) a lot better than San Francisco?
Yea it’s the hip attitude in the Bay Area. You get use to it and also they expect 25% tip for it lol. I never go past 20%
Why don't you get the shit you want and GTFO instead of trying to make fake connections with people pretending like you care.
Wait until you meet CA drivers!
Very normal for Bay Area. Shitty customer service everywhere as everyone wants to be millionaires so hate their jobs
Before I became SWE, I worked at a cafe in SF and gave the best customer service around. When I went to other restaurants in SF, the customer service were horrible. I just took a lot of pride in my job and I wish others did too.

It’s the SF Bay Area affect. Welcome to getting treated like shit by people who think they’re better than you.
Yep, imagine your attitude after dealing with holier than thou snowflakes all day.
Looop - I could not agree more... entitled snowflakes even more so
