Interviewing with Citrix. Bad idea to take the job if offered after the latest breach even though it would be a better position for my career. Thoughts?
Citrix is toxic. If you are getting substantially more money and have an exit plan after around 3 years you should ok. Negotiate hard on RSU as sign up bonus if you are Director level. If you are in CA I dont know why you would ever want to work dor Citrix
every big dumb enterprise company will have big awful breaches
Don’t
Why?
Worst company. Ppl are very laid back. Not real work. I changed too. Not real good work is happening there. Which org r u joining
My entire exposure to Citrix is through one douche who works there. Red flag for the company on the technical side, heard that he lied in interview and got hired to work on that very thing he actually knew nothing about (not as a new grad or anything). One person isn't representative, but left me with a bad taste. Doesn't help that the guy is one of the most morally bankrupt people I've ever met too despite initially coming off great, if that says anything about the culture But again, my entire exposure is through one person. Could be a great place on other teams for all I know
Racist people work there and like to launch personal attacks.
It’s terrible. Ever since the breach developers have to wear an electric shock collar and whenever a user suffers due to breach every dev gets zapped with gajillion volts. It is not pleasant. Unless you’re a masochist I’d reconsider.
