Base Pay Non-Tech Microsoft

In an argument with my roommate. What is the typical base salary for a Microsoft Non-Tech role with an MBA (from non top tier). Something between L59-61 and/or essentially equivalent to an Amazon L5 Program Manager/Vendor Manager TC: 103k non-tech 1 YOE

Dunno but MBA from top tier is &125-140

It all depends. 140k in San Fran is not the same as 140k in Seattle or NYC.

no shit

As of 2 years ago, incoming MACH MBA's got 115 as a base in non-eng roles. That may be up to 120 or so now?

Think it's up to 117, maybe 118

So the real question is, does it matter where the MBA is from? Let’s say it’s not even a top 100 MBA program...

Microsoft AQfn33 Oct 20, 2018

Yes, it matters. If you want to come in as a recruit (and not some random one off hire), it's a top 15 program or UW.

That's also where you get the sweetened signing package (~50 signing, ~ 50 stock/5 years, ~10 relo)

Shout-out to Foster.

A year ago the standard non-tech package coming in for an MBA was like 116 base/35 signing/55 stock (over 4 years)/9-10k relo Technical base (eng disciplines like data stuff or pm) was 127k for MBA but I think they've now adjusted it so technical tracks get downleveled to 60 (to be in line with the 116-117 base pay for MBA)
