Been working on Large enterprise implementations involving Salesforce for 7+ years now. I’ve done everything from facilitating discovery calls, bridging functional & technical teams, leadership & stakeholders, hands-on SFDC configuration, integration architecture, product road mapping, writing 100s of user stories, project management, training, pre sales and resource management (engagement manager role) and even more. Long story short, I’m a generalist that’s really good at everything. Ive consistently had successful projects and am known as an internal champion who always gets 1 or 2 ratings and promotions every 1-2 years. However I’m at a fork in the road. I want to break into AI or product management at a tech company and feel I have the transferable skills and intelligence to do so. The obvious traits I’m lacking are leading a true 0 to 1 product management lifecycle. I have worked extensively in data and analytics but am sure I could learn a lot of skills there that could help with decision making. I bet there’s even more that a true product manager does that I may not do today but would be easy to learn. My question is how have others successfully broken into AI or product management roles and any tips you can give or referrals to get my foot in the door. I don’t think I want to keep working up the Salesforce professional services corporate ladder. TC: $230k
