I find that I underestimate behavioral interview questions and tend to put forth an average story. I’m working on dialing in a set of stories for various situations. I know the STAR method, which I use, but what characteristics are interviews looking for specifically? Are there subtext / secondary quality traits at companies like Facebook, Amazon, Google, Uber, Lyft, etc.? For instance, if an interviewer is looking for when I showed leadership, are there other secondary qualities an interviewer is looking for in the answer too? Like support, empathy, etc.? Some sort of generic grading rubric or what interviewers are looking for would be super helpful. #pm #product #productmanager

You fail a behavioral interview the second try to prepare for it beyond thinking about which experiences you want to relay. Try to be awesome, and you will come through as fake and rehearsed = you fail.
