I was hired back in January remote, and now T-Mobile is asking employees to go to the office 3 times a week. In my case that is not possible as I live far away from any HQ. I spoke to my director who basically said if I don’t RTO I will be fired eventually, no severance, no bonus, just a nice fuck you on the way out. What do I do
I personally would start looking for a remote job externally and keep telling your manager that you are in the process of moving. Just keep making up reasons why you aren't able to at the moment. That should delay getting fired. Hope you have lots in savings though incase you can't get another job for a while Another option, especially if your tc is really high and you like your job, just fly out there every week for the 3 days
Check your employment contract to verify that the hiring location is explicitly stated as your RTO hub or if there’s a relocation clause - if you’re being forced to move with no contractual obligation then you can talk to an employment lawyer about constructive dismissal and call your manager’s bluff on severance if they fire you, otherwise you’re probably SOL
Definitely lawyer time

Make them fire you; find another job before it happens
