Looking to transition from DS to MLE, and I have next to no knowledge on proper design and how I’d handle these sorts of questions in interviews. Im unsure where to start for seminal works from FAANG and companies like Airbnb, Uber, Spotify, etc. Can you all recommend some of the most well-done papers or direct me to a list? 1 YOE TC 95k
Exactly. Papers are not the answer but worth checking out some industry-specific workshops/conference proceedings. Most tech companies have blogs covering a lot of their internal tools/design/processes. DM for 1:1 mentoring

I personally don't think reading papers is the way to go. I would recommend a thorough knowledge of the basics from online courses, YouTube videos and books. And then go over some ML modeling blogs etc. (Google for it) Papers are usually too specific for some problem, and they may skip some obvious steps - like they'll just mention cross-validation, but may gloss over the details which you must know for an interview.
Any suggestions? I’m doing grokking ML design but was thinking the original implementation papers the case studies are based on would be helpful.
Haven't tried that. For quick basics recap, I found this book useful called the hundred page ML book.
