I am planning to move to Dallas. But I don’t see any FAANG level companies currently located in Dallas. All the top companies are in Austin. I only see Microsoft and Salesforce as companies with decent pay in Dallas. Please comment below if you know any good companies for software engineers in Dallas with very good pay and benefits. Current TC: 120k Future TC: 240k YOE: 6 EDIT: High Paying Companies with Good WLB: https://www.teamblind.com/post/LhZnp1jF?cid=21610223 Also creating a poll for the best tech company in Dallas which could beat my future TC #software #besttechcompaniestoworkfor #dallas #microsoft #salesforce#vmware#tech
I work for Salesforce in Dallas. Best WLB and decent TC for Texas. TC: 110k YoE: 1
What’s their tech stack. Do they have good Java spring boot or python work
I also want to know what the work is like at SF, good WLB is important but I don't want to stay there and waste my time learning either outdated tech or their custom in house frameworks
Get a remote job
If that’s the case then I could move to Houston or some place cheap. Dallas is freaking expensive to buy a house
Why r u at dallas
Apply for remote positions from FAANG. There are some Amazon and Google offices.
Seconding this. I know there are some Amazon Austin teams that are open to remote so long as you are somewhere in Texas.
Ya if I can only get a remote job then I would move somewhere inexpensive and not Dallas. Dallas is so much expensive
I thought Amazon had some SDE roles in Dallas? Before you guys laugh at me for "best", OP mentioned faang too.
I wasn’t sure that Amazon has some offices in Dallas. Thanks for letting me know

How much msft pay in Dallas for sde2?
Alkami
I interviewed there years ago and the guy spent the whole time talking about how it wasn't just a 40 hour a week job and how they needed people all hands on deck. He was like "people think they can just work and leave at 5 everyday" They proceeded to offer me 72k. No equity (this was pre-ipo) Get lost with that.
All Dallas companies will pay bad
The housing prices in Dallas is Almost similar to Austin.
And?
