What's the best asset protection strategy against divorce? Seems like a prenup is pretty useless at this point, what do you think?
If youâre worried about this donât get married. You donât have to get married. Itâs not a requirement
Iâd bet you also tell people not to buy cars to avoid financial harm from accidents instead of getting insurance. Owning a car is not a requirement. Right?
I mean owning a car is a huge financial burden. If you can avoid it by living somewhere with good transit, you should avoid it. But thatâs a pretty bad analogy. You can date forever. You can have a bf/gf without getting married. People have kids and even live together without getting married
Marriage is the leading cause of divorce in this country
Marriage is a legal and financial contract. Donât like it donât marry.
And trusts, prenups, offshore accounts and cryptocurrency are all valid instruments of protecting wealth. The first two require the blessing of the law. The third just requires a suitable jurisdiction. The last can be God-mode for wealth preservation in the right hands.
Hmu if you wanna buy some nfts. Give you a good price, can't go tits up.
Simple - move all your assets to a family member that is not your partner during the divorce proceedings. Get it back once divorce is finalized
It's too late if it's done by divorce proceedings lol. Ideally, it's done before marriage.
Itâs rarely too late to move stuff into cryptocurrency and liquidate in some offshore, tax-haven jurisdiction in someone elseâs name. The only thing that can be a wrench in this is quickly liquidating immovable assets.
Marry. Donât earn or do minimal. Work on yourself enjoy your life
Common law marriage applies anyway at some time, so prenup is stronger than that :) On the other hand, it is just 50:50!
bitcoin and a boating accident with your private keys
donât marry in california
Not getting married? Duh
Depends they're in a common law state and how long they've been together and circumstances
Microsoft, common law or not, if you don't get married you won't get a divorce. It worked for me, never married, never divorced.
