What would you choose. Final year phd ai/computer vision. Multiple decent publications. Adobe intern. prev ms in cs, ericsson research intern. prev 3 yoe as software engg in the initial startup engg team which has now become indias one of largest foodtech startups (owned product stack from storyboarding to eventual scaling of arch for 300k iops )
Research scientist at FAANG+ IMO. HFT pays a lot, but has mediocre culture.
First, realize your PhD makes you as desirable as a BS with 2-3 yoe. Second, unless your publications are 100% relevant to the role you are pursuing they don't matter to anyone who may view your resume. Don't put them on there. Use the space to highlight experiences and skills. Third, don't found a startup until you've worked a few years elsewhere and learn more about the various roles and functions within a successful company so you'll know what's needed when you do build and grow your own company. But really, doing a simple thing you enjoy and having time to settle down and pursue personal interests, like relationships or a family, are far more meaningful than working yourself to death chasing the myth of prestige.
is the BS for bachelors or b**lsh*t
If you can comprehend the rest of the post, it’s clearly bachelors 🤦♂️
hft 100% they hire directly out of school
