Hi, I am an SDE2 in Amazon India. I want to move to another country mostly for better quality of life and experience. I do not want to move with the intention of settling there. That would depend on the experience. I can not move to US (Family reasons). I am exploring countries like UK, Switzerland ,Canada and Dublin. But I am not which one is more suitable to software engineers in terms of job opportunities, pay and saving. Please suggest. #softwareengineer #relocation
Canada
I thought of Vancouver but it doesn't have many company and torronto has harsh weather. I am not sure about Amazon culture in canada. UK has all major companies.
I heard in 2020 India would have turned a superpower country.
If you are an Indian, don’t come to America. Here’s why: - Most IT functions in US companies are run by Indians - We Indians mostly have brought the same corrupt and bullshit practices of India to the US - Indians hate to see other Indians grow. So if your Manager (who will most likely be Indian) is the typical Desi manager then you are screwed. And there will be Desi managers like that - The Green Card wait for Indians is the second curse (first curse being born in India) Be prepared for years of abuse at the hands of some Desi manager if you come here. Your Green Card won’t happen anytime soon
Wao. It seems work culture at Walmart suck.
@Microsoft: Sunnyvale Walmart Labs is remarkably bad. Indians, unfortunately, have a feudal mindset where employees or subordinates are treated as lesser humans. I have heard that Walmart Labs was some Indian startup (very likely filled with Indians who thought they were better than the rest of the world) and the same Indian mindset continues. The work culture is so bad that I left without a job. And I am not a Green Card holder. Even in India I have not experienced such blatant nepotism, and backstabbing. Knowing the other person’s dependency on a work visa can really bring out the bastard in us.
UK is your best bet as US immigration is too tough for Indians now
Netherlands?
