What’s the best crypto exchange for the US? Not looking at Coinbase right now, so any other exchange would work. Looking for wide selection in crypto. For instance, already have a Gemini account but there’s no Solana on the platform currently. In terms of security + selection of crypto, what’s the best platform out there?
Why not coinbase?
Ftx US, bybit on VPN if you don’t want to fill out KYC info, kucoin for high selection
How VPN helps avoid filling KYC, pardon my ignorance, new bee here
For US based exchanges Coinbase > Kraken > Gemini Not sure about the situation about Binance in the US but Coinbase is the most secure, liquid, and trusted in the US.
Mt Gox
Kucoin, Ascendex
I’ve used every major exchange and think FTX US is the best for trading majors (btc, eth, sol, etc.) in the U.S. You can get 10x margin if you open your account with > $100k, and they are adding options soon (that’s why they acquired LedgerX). There is also lending, and they are currently paying 20% interest on stablecoins and 10% on USD. The mobile app is also good, the exchange actually works during periods of volatility, and the fees are much lower than Coinbase. They just added Solana NFTs and are adding more soon. The downside is there aren’t many shitcoins (presumably because they don’t want to piss off the SEC). If you sign up with my ref link, it will save you 5% on trading fees: https://ftx.us/#a=9685248 For lower caps, you’re going to find the greatest selection on Kucoin, but I’m not a huge fan of the exchange.
Any clue on which exchange that I could use VPN and vanilla Visa cards to buy cryto? I just want to fly under the IRS radar
Gemini has the best UI and user experience IMO
