Best gastroenterologist in the bay area?
I've been having issues with SIBO/IBS from a year now. Current doctor is not good I feel as nothing as helped. Any suggestions for a good gastroenterologist!
Look into Ayurveda and see if an Ayurvedic doctor can help. Should be plenty in SF. Typically IBS is a blanket term that covers up an issue.

General MD/GI approach to SIBO is to eliminate simple sugars, stimulate colon and antibiotics with low absorbtion rate, like rifaximin. First two you can do your self, second one you probably already have prescribed. If that doesn't work address this issue to herbalist/ayurvedic practicioner or to dietician. I have had deal with two dieticians, they both had same approach, which is - calory control, no junk food, no sugars, sweets and very limited on fruits.
I liked Harsha Vittal. Look him up.
