I bought nest brand but it has batteries and a lot of time camera is unavailable and giving me warnings cold weather will drain battery.. what do you guys get for adding more security to your home?
Ring works fine, you can also get a tiny solar panel for it so it never runs out of charge

So, “best” highly depends on your requirements. If you can hard wire your cameras with power over Ethernet, do that and get a synology, it’ll be rock solid but expensive. I would only really do this for a home id be in for a while though. If you need wireless, I’d go with Ring over Blink, and maybe get a solar panel charger for the outdoor ones so you don’t need to mess with the battery as often. If you have power where the camera is, then I’d suggest connecting that if at all possible, because I notice my hardwired flood light cam is much more responsive than my front door on battery. Wireless connectivity can be iffy unless you have an access point in your back yard or nearby though. I put a chime pro WiFi extender on the interior wall closest to my floodlight camera and that fixed it.
I got PoE Reolinks all around
I have 8 Wyze cameras and are pretty happy with them. You can put SD cards in so you don’t have to pay the monthly fee which I like. The outdoor cameras that are rechargeable go 2-3 months between charges. Pretty good for being cheap.
Ring works well for me. The solar panel is surprisingly capable even in Seattle.
Do you attach solar panel to ring camera?
Have you taken a look at the cameras which plug in to the light bulb socket?
