So, I've always wanted to spend a year or two working in India (I'm an ABCD). Got Q4 L5 promo and my original idea was to transfer to a Hyderabad team after Forte in April. With the current tech layoffs that timeline has been pushed out by a year at least. Current org / team is unlikely to be impacted due to high GCCP. However, I can't shake the idea that it'll be extremely hard to find a good wlb team in India. I really don't want to get pipped there (Amazon could be useful for offer leverage in the future). As a result I'm wondering which route is best: (1) Do my best to find a chill Amazon Hyderabad team and transfer whenever internal transfers reopen (2) Grind LC while layoffs are in full swing, try to switch to a chiller company with a Hyderabad office (e.g. LinkedIn, Google, Microsoft, Salesforce), spend a year-ish there, and then transfer to Hyderabad Edit: My grandparents live in Hyderabad, which is why I'm considering there vs. Bangalore, Gurgaon, Delhi etc

No idea, but I'd be interested to find out!
Very good for white folks, especially if they’re looking to hookup. Pretty good for Indian-American guys, due to their American passport.
Yes join Microsoft and transfer to Hyderabad, chill af
Do you happen to know if this is easy/hard to do from the US -> India? Blind says there are leveling requirements for the other way around
US -> India idk honestly how the loop is but I have seen many cases, India-> US you have to go through full loop
There is no chill Hyd team
