Which company do you think has the better long-term outlook (growth, revenue, etc.)?
Definitely Amazon of those 3.
Facebook does have Oculus, headroom to monetize Instagram further, and can start monetizing messenger/WhatsApp, and then maybe Libra on top of that.
Amazon. Ad revenue from search or social networks isn’t going to somehow see a dramatic boom. Cloud computing/AWS is still in its infancy.
Agreed amazon but because they are getting into the ad business.
They are already in ad business for long on retail site amazon.com. Is there something new ?
Google is at a weird stagnation where it has fully capitalized it's current market and it's various bets haven't started paying off yet. Waymo, Cloud, Shopping, Real Estate, or real AI usage will need to kick in before we start moving forward again. The good news is that there are so many of them that at least one should work out
I love G’s high bar of engineering. but how do you get to the conclusion that at least one should work out?
Cloud is already at its bestest, shopping and real estate is a joke. If deepmind would ever come up with AGI, it would change the world so much that Google’s market cap will be of our least concern. Waymo is the only one that can become a real cash cow, but Google gas a terrible track record of running business that require real world operations.
I would bet on Amazon at this point. They’ve started getting into Ads and with their shitty treatment of their employees will be a threat to Google’s margins. I think Google has more talent and could beat Amazon, but I’m not sure it has the leadership or drove required to do so... Sad to say this and I hope I am wrong...
Growth and revenue are two very different things. Amazon is an ecommerce company, high revenue low margin.
Why do you guys think Amazon will be.... 😣
Amazon hires a lot of people and will grow faster than any other tech giant. Google is very picky to hire people and will be irrelevant to macro economy in few years. Amazon new head quarters excited a lot of people but Google new headquarters doesn’t excite people because they know Google doesn’t offer jobs to middle class Americans
Amazon held a beauty pageant for new headquarters. While Google prefers the backroom deals. Has nothing to do with job offers
