What’s the salary expectations or range for a big data engineer at Oracle in California ? The recruiter reached out to me asking for salary expectations!! YOE: 3 Current designation: Data Engineer Current Salary: 85k Current job location: Atlanta, GA How do we give them the range ? Is Glassdoor the right tool to look out for? Not sure about Oracle, but in moving to Cali look up cola and add at least another 25% just to match the same in GA. That's my guess. My quick cowboy math look up, says cost of living adjustment s/b ~77% so need $150k to start to match but with my 25% target you need around $187k total comp. That maybe a stretch for Oracle, Larry's a tighta**, but I would should be possible with others. But don't trust me, do some research and good luck.
